Diets Don’t Work. Do This Instead.
Have you heard the news?? Diets don’t work for women who love food. (I mean, they don’t work for ANYONE, but especially not for women who love cooking, dining, and eating as much as we do.)
Yet we’ve all traveled the road of restrictive diets more times than we can count….
You know what it feels like to reach a breaking point where you're OVER living in a body that you're unhappy with and are 100% ready to make a change.
So you start yet another diet.
You shell out more of your precious dollars to join the program, and then you go about spending your precious time downloading the app, buying and prepping all the special food (while going through the mental gymnastics to convince yourself that this time it will all be totally satisfying and not at all sad and blah…right).
You put in the work.
And it’s okay…for a couple days. You can use willpower to make it through for a while.
But there always comes a point where things start to shift, right? Everything you’re doing to lose weight on that diet starts to feel like a slog.
You’re so sick of entering everything in that stupid app. You’re so tired of measuring out your peanut butter and your olive oil a teaspoon at a time. And this ‘diet’ food is really starting to get old.
You watch friends go out to dinner, but you pass so that you don’t derail your progress….
You watch everyone at that birthday party excitedly dig into the cake, but you force yourself to say no….even though you really want it….
You start to miss the food you love….
You start to feel left out of the fun….
You just want to eat what everyone else gets to enjoy. You just want to cook the fun recipes, not the “diet” recipes. You’re sick of this all being so hard.
And then life starts happening. Work is annoying, stressful things pop up, your kids give you a hard time.
You just want some relief. And all you can think about at this point is food.
And so you eat….

You finally let yourself have the good stuff. The real food that is totally not allowed on your diet.
But you might even go totally off the rails, all the while vowing to “get serious” again on Monday.
Then Monday comes, and you go right back to restricting. Which still feels terrible.
Then life gets in the way, and you binge.
The cycle goes on and on until it all becomes WAY too much work.
Until you finally quit. Yet another failed diet. ALL that money and time wasted yet again, and you’re right back where you started, if not a couple of pounds heavier.
It’s demoralizing, right??
