Make Weight Loss Easy With One Simple Question
One of my favorite questions to ask clients is:
What feels doable today?
It sounds simple, but it’s incredibly powerful.
We’ve tried all the weight loss plans that have you changing EVERYTHING (the foods you eat, the way you exercise, how hungry you get between meals) on a dime, as though it were possible (or sustainable) to morph into an entirely new human overnight. And then we’re surprised when that starts to feel hard.
It feels hard (and you quit every time) because it’s the wrong approach.
The bigger the changes, the more herculean the effort begins to feel.
The harder it feels, the more commitment it takes from you. The more commitment required, the more BS your brain is going to throw at you about why you shouldn’t do it.
The bigger the effort, the easier it becomes to talk yourself out of doing ANY of it.
The more you ask of yourself, the more you beat yourself up when you don’t follow through.

My clients are successful because I show them how to stop doing that nonsense. Instead, I teach them how to take tiny steps that feel truly realistic, possible, and DOABLE.
You know, so you’ll actually do them.
My clients start with things like:
Leaving just two bites behind at every meal
Maybe skipping mayo on that burger if they think they'll hardly notice
Going for the Medium instead of the Large
Adding a salad on the side of their favorite takeout order
Pausing for just a couple of minutes to determine whether they need more food or not
And then they level up a little more, when they feel ready.
These tiny, doable changes add up fast. Tiny habits practiced consistently over time compound into BIG results.
And it makes so much sense. If the thing you’re trying feels truly DOABLE, it’s harder to talk yourself out of it.
When you start small, achieving that easy thing (and eventually another….and another…) feels really attainable. It’s not hard to get yourself to do it.
And when you get really good at following through, you learn to trust yourself.
When you start getting these small wins under your belt, you’re much more likely to show up and do it again tomorrow and, eventually, to push yourself a tiny bit more.
The process doesn’t feel like a grind, it actually feels enjoyable. You stack up successes. You have tons of chances to celebrate yourself.
Your brain Loves. That. Shit. It builds momentum.
My process feels easier, it’s fun instead of punishing, and it actually works.
